Calculate your price to Brussels Airport
For a long-haul flight, a business trip or a holiday with a traditional airline, most people in the Kempen fly from Brussels Airport (Zaventem). It is not exactly on the doorstep, and you notice that most on public transport: first to the station in Herentals, Geel or Mol, then the train, often with a change, all with suitcases and sometimes children in tow. Driving yourself, on the other hand, means paying for parking for the whole trip.
With GateRide you simply get in at your own front door, even in a small village or on a country road. The price is fixed in advance for your town, with no pickup surcharge, no meter and nothing extra for luggage. You pay your driver in cash on the day of the ride.

Via Antwerp or via Leuven: two corridors
From Turnhout, Beerse, Herentals or Grobbendonk your driver usually takes the E34 or the E313 to the Ranst interchange, then the E19 south past Mechelen to the Brussels Ring at Machelen. From there it is only a short stretch to the departures hall.
If you live in the south-east of the region, around Westerlo, Laakdal, Meerhout or Mol, the detour via Antwerp is often unnecessary. Taking the E313 to Lummen and then the E314 past Diest and Leuven brings you onto the E40, which runs straight to Zaventem. Your driver chooses the route based on your address and the traffic; the price stays the same.
Timing: Ranst, Leuven and the morning rush
The E313 is a busy lorry route, and the Ranst interchange fills up early on weekdays. The E40 between Leuven and Brussels and the E19 near Mechelen are classic morning bottlenecks too. With an early flight you will usually have a clear run. If you are leaving later in the morning, allow a generous margin, and plan to be at the airport two to three hours before departure in any case.
You choose your own pickup time. Your request is reviewed personally and confirmed by email; only then is your ride confirmed.
Coming home: meeting on level 0
For the return trip your driver waits for you in the arrivals hall on level 0, by the information desk, with a GateRide sign. Choose a pickup time about 45 minutes after landing for a Schengen flight, or an hour if you are arriving from outside Schengen; waiting time is included in the price. If you land in the late afternoon, you will drive home in the evening rush, but your wallet will not notice. If you are delayed, let your driver know by phone or WhatsApp.
