Which airport should you choose?

Brussels Airport in Zaventem offers the widest choice: most direct routes, business flights and long-haul destinations. Charleroi is the home of the low-cost airlines, while Liège Airport is mainly about holiday charters. If you live in the north of Antwerp province or in Limburg, Eindhoven Airport is often closer than you might think. And for an intercontinental trip or a cheaper ticket, Amsterdam Schiphol, Düsseldorf and Cologne Bonn are well worth comparing.

When should you leave?

Aim to arrive two hours before departure for a European flight, and three hours for long-haul or during the school holidays. With GateRide you choose your pickup time, not your flight time: add the journey time from the table and allow for the morning rush hour around Brussels and Antwerp. For night flights and departures at dawn the roads are usually clear, but public transport is often not yet running.

Taxi, car park, train or kiss & ride?

Driving yourself looks cheap until you add up a week or two in an airport car park. The train works well from a big city with a direct connection, less so with heavy luggage or a change. Kiss & ride needs someone willing to get up at five and then drive all the way back. With one fixed price from your front door and no pickup surcharge, you know in advance what you will pay, and the owner drives you himself.

Questions about airports and departure times

Does the driver also go to airports abroad?

Yes. For Eindhoven, Schiphol, Düsseldorf and Cologne Bonn the price calculator also shows a fixed price from your town. If there is none, ask for a tailored quote by WhatsApp message.

Can I fly out of one airport and come back into another?

Certainly. The outbound and return journeys are separate rides, so you can leave from Charleroi and land at Zaventem. Simply book two rides.

Does the driver track my flight if it is delayed?

Not automatically. Send a WhatsApp message or call as soon as you know you will land later, and the pickup time will be adjusted.

Which airport works out cheapest for me?

Enter your town in the price calculator and compare the fixed prices per airport, taking the difference in ticket prices into account.

Prefer to call or send a message?

For custom rides, large groups or questions: you’ll talk to the driver directly.
