Calculate your price to Brussels Airport
Liège has its own airport, but it is mainly a cargo hub with a limited choice of holiday flights. For scheduled services, long-haul destinations and most European capitals, people in Liège and Verviers fly from Brussels Airport (Zaventem) instead. That means a long drive across the Hesbaye, and by train you first have to get your cases to Liège-Guillemins or Verviers station and hope for a smooth connection.
With GateRide you simply get in at home, in Liège, Seraing, Herstal, Chaudfontaine, Spa or Eupen. Your driver comes to you and takes you to the departures hall without any changes. The price is fixed in advance for your town: no pickup surcharge, no meter and nothing extra when traffic backs up near Leuven.

The E40: from Liège via Leuven to Zaventem
This is one of the most direct routes in the country: the E40 from Liège across the Hesbaye, past Waremme and Tienen to Leuven, then on towards Brussels as far as the airport. From Verviers, Spa or Eupen there is an extra stretch first, via the E42 or E40 to Battice and then west around Liège. From Huy your driver chooses between the road via Hannut to the E40 and the E42 via Namur.
The busy part is mainly the final section, between Leuven and Zaventem, where morning commuter traffic heading into Brussels converges. Your driver adapts the route to the traffic; your fixed price stays the same.
Timing and coming home
Plan to be at Brussels Airport two to three hours before departure and, if you leave on a weekday morning, allow extra time for the E40 towards Brussels. For a flight at sunrise, a pickup in the middle of the night is the smart choice: the motorway is empty and you reach the airport without any stress.
On your return, your driver waits in the arrivals hall on level 0 by the information desk, holding a GateRide sign. Add your flight number and report any delay by phone or WhatsApp, as flights are not tracked automatically. With ‘Book return trip’ the journey home is sorted in no time.
