Book your ride to Brussels Airport
Brussels Airport in Zaventem is Belgium’s largest airport and the first choice for most travellers in the country, whether for a business trip, a family holiday or a long-haul flight with a connection. Yet the journey often starts with a hassle: driving the Ring yourself, hunting for a space in a car park, dragging suitcases to a shuttle bus or catching a train with a change, all while you are still half asleep.
With a GateRide airport transfer you skip all of that. Your driver, the owner himself, comes to you, loads your luggage and takes you straight to the departures hall. The price depends on your town and is fixed in advance: the drive to you, your luggage and VAT are all included. There is no pickup surcharge, no meter and no extra charge when traffic crawls on the E19 or E40. You simply pay in cash on the day.

Drop-off at departures
On the day you fly, your driver is at your door at the agreed time. There is nothing for you to plan: he picks the best route via the E40, E19, E411, E314 or the Brussels Ring, depending on where you live and how busy the roads are. At Brussels Airport he drops you as close as possible to the entrance of the departures hall, so you can walk straight to check-in or bag drop. No parking ticket, no shuttle, no circling for a space.
Travelling with children? A baby seat, child seat or booster seat is free while available. Just select it in your request, along with the number of passengers and suitcases.
Pickup after landing: waiting time is included
Coming home? Book a ride ‘From the airport’ and enter your flight number. You choose the pickup time yourself: allow about 45 minutes after landing for a flight within Schengen, and about an hour if you are arriving from outside Schengen, as you still need to clear passport control. Free waiting time is included, so you can collect your bags without rushing.
Worth knowing: your driver does not track your flight automatically. If your flight is delayed, let him know by phone or WhatsApp. The pickup time is then adjusted and nobody is left waiting.
How early should you leave for Brussels Airport?
With GateRide you choose your pickup time, not your flight time. A good rule of thumb: be at the airport two to three hours before departure, especially during school holidays and for long-haul flights. Add the travel time shown in the price table and allow for the morning rush: the Brussels Ring, the Kennedy Tunnel in Antwerp and the E40 between Leuven and Brussels fill up quickly on weekdays.
Your request is reviewed personally and confirmed by email, and only then is the ride booked. A request that is not confirmed in time expires automatically, so you are never left guessing and still have time to make other arrangements.
Why a taxi beats parking or the train
Brussels Airport has its own railway station beneath the terminal, and from central Brussels the train is a genuine option. But from the coast, the Kempen, Limburg or the Ardennes, the train often means an early bus, a change and hauling suitcases up and down stairs, and the first trains do not always run early enough for a morning flight. Driving yourself has its price too: a week or two of airport parking soon adds up, and after a night flight you still have to get behind the wheel, tired.
With a fixed door-to-door price you know exactly what you will pay. For a family or a group of colleagues the comparison is often surprisingly favourable, and it is certainly the most relaxed way to travel.
Which regions fly from Brussels Airport?
Practically the whole country. Brussels Airport sits right next to the Brussels Ring, where the E19 from Antwerp and the E40 from Ghent and Leuven join. For Brussels, the Flemish municipalities around the capital, Walloon Brabant, Leuven, Mechelen, Antwerp and Ghent it is the obvious choice, and it is the everyday airport for the many expats in Tervuren, Kraainem or Overijse. Travellers from West Flanders, Limburg, Namur and Liège also make the drive for the widest range of direct flights, from European capitals to far-flung destinations. GateRide operates throughout Belgium: your driver comes to you, wherever you live.

Questions about your ride to Brussels Airport
How much is a taxi to Brussels Airport?
It depends on your town and the direction of travel. The price calculator and the price table on this page show the fixed price straight away, including the drive to you, luggage, waiting time on pickups and VAT. Is your town not listed? Ask for a quote via WhatsApp.
Do I have to pay in advance or online?
No. You pay the driver in cash on the day of the ride. There is no deposit and no online payment. A receipt is available on request, in your company’s name if needed.
What if my flight into Brussels is delayed?
Let your driver know by phone or WhatsApp. He does not track flights automatically, so a short message ensures the pickup time is adjusted. The included waiting time also gives you some leeway at the baggage belt.
Can I cancel for free or change my booking?
Yes. In ‘My trips’ you can cancel free of charge until the deadline shown in your booking, which is twelve hours before pickup by default. For a different time or address, send a change request for your driver to confirm.
Can I book my ride home from Brussels Airport at the same time?
Of course. After your request, choose ‘Book return trip’: your address and details are already filled in, so you only need to add the date, time and flight number.
Can I bring a bike, golf bag or my dog?
Special luggage such as a bike, golf bag or wheelchair, as well as pets, can be accommodated by prior arrangement. Mention it in your request or send a message. Assistance dogs are always welcome.
Prefer to call or send a message?
For custom rides, large groups or questions: you’ll talk to the driver directly.
