Calculate your price to Brussels South Charleroi Airport
Brussels and Charleroi Airport are a familiar pairing for many people in the capital. The airport is not called Brussels South Charleroi for nothing, and for low-cost flights it is often the first choice. The usual option is the shuttle bus from Brussels-Midi station, but first you have to get yourself and your luggage to Midi, well ahead of the bus departure. At five in the morning from Uccle, Schaerbeek or Woluwe-Saint-Pierre, that is no fun at all.
With GateRide you skip all that. Your driver comes to your address in any of the nineteen Brussels municipalities, loads your luggage and takes you straight to Charleroi. You pay one fixed price for the ride, not per person, with no pickup surcharge and no meter. For two, three or a whole family, that quickly becomes the sensible choice, and for expats heading off on a weekend break it saves a great deal of hassle.

The route: via Waterloo or via Nivelles
The route depends on where in Brussels you live. From the south and east of the city, such as Ixelles, Auderghem or Watermael-Boitsfort, your driver often takes the Ring (R0) past Waterloo. From the west and the centre, the E19 towards Nivelles makes more sense. Both routes lead onto the A54, which takes you to Gosselies, right by the airport.
In the morning rush, most traffic is heading into the city, so the drive south is usually smoother. The Ring around Waterloo and the main roads out of town can still get congested. It makes no difference to you: your price is fixed in advance.
Pickup in the city and the return trip
Brussels streets are often narrow, one-way or lined with parked cars. Give your exact address in your request and, if useful, mention an entrance, a rear door or a convenient spot to stop, especially if you live in a block of flats. Plan to be at Charleroi two to three hours before departure.
On the way back your driver waits at the exit of the arrivals hall, next to the taxi rank. Add your flight number and let him know by phone or WhatsApp if you are delayed. With ‘Book return trip’ you can plan the journey home as soon as your outward ride is booked.
Frequently asked questions
Questions about Brussels – Brussels South Charleroi Airport
Is a taxi more expensive than the shuttle bus to Charleroi?
Per person the bus is cheaper, but a taxi picks you up at home and the price covers the whole ride. With two or three travellers, or for a flight too early for the bus, the difference is often smaller than you might think. The fixed price for your municipality is in the price table.
Can I also go from Brussels to Zaventem or other airports?
Yes. From Brussels your driver also takes you to Brussels Airport (Zaventem), Liège, Eindhoven, Schiphol, Düsseldorf and Cologne Bonn, always at a fixed price per municipality.
What if my flight is cancelled?
You can cancel free of charge in ‘My trips’ until the deadline shown in your booking, by default twelve hours before pickup. If you need a different time, send a change request and your driver will confirm it.
