Few parts of Belgium are as well connected as the province of Liège. Four motorways meet around the city: the E40 towards Brussels and Aachen, the E25 from Maastricht down to the Ardennes, the E42 to Verviers and Namur, and the E313 to Hasselt and Antwerp. From Liège, Seraing, Herstal or Ans, plenty of airports are within reach by car, in Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany.

Getting there without stress is another matter. Hauling two suitcases to the station at dawn is nobody’s idea of fun, the shuttle bus does not stop at your door and a long-stay car park eats into the holiday budget. With GateRide you book a door-to-door pickup: your driver rings the bell at the agreed time, loads the luggage and drops you at the terminal. The fixed price is set for your town and does not change when the Loncin interchange is jammed yet again. No pickup surcharge, no meter, no extra charge for luggage.

Liège Airport, Brussels or Charleroi: which one from Liège?

Liège Airport is at Bierset, in the municipality of Grâce-Hollogne, just west of the city along the E42. It is best known as a cargo hub, but holiday flights leave from there too. For many people in the region it is the shortest ride to a departures hall.

For a wider choice of destinations, most people from Liège fly from Brussels Airport (Zaventem). Your driver takes the E40, past Waremme and Leuven, to the Brussels Ring. Flying with a low-cost airline? Brussels South Charleroi Airport is easy to reach on the E42 via Namur, without going through Brussels.

Verviers, Spa and Eupen: Germany and the Netherlands next door

In the east of the province the map looks different. From Verviers, Eupen or the Herve plateau, the E40 takes you quickly to Aachen and on to Cologne Bonn or Düsseldorf. Those two German airports are a genuine alternative for some destinations, and they are well known in the towns around Eupen, the heart of Belgium’s German-speaking Community. To the north, the E25 via Maastricht leads towards Eindhoven, and Schiphol is an option for long-haul flights.

Around Spa, Stavelot and the High Fens the roads are beautiful but winding, and sometimes icy in winter, so your driver builds in extra margin when the weather turns. From Huy or Visé he picks whichever route flows best at that hour, along the Meuse or via the motorway.

One driver, from your front door to the terminal

At GateRide the owner drives every ride himself. Your request is reviewed personally and confirmed by email once the schedule works; only then is your booking final. On the way back you give your flight number and your driver waits for you, with free waiting time included. If your flight is delayed, just let him know by phone or WhatsApp. You pay the fixed price in cash on the day, and a receipt is available on request, in your company’s name if you prefer.

Frequently asked questions

Airport transfers in Liège & Verviers

Liège Airport is so close. Why book an airport taxi?

Precisely because it is so close, paying for a week or two of parking rarely makes sense. Your driver picks you up at the time you choose, however early, and you pay a fixed price with no surprises.

Do you cover Eupen and the German-speaking towns?

Yes. Eupen and the surrounding area are in the price calculator. If your town does not show a fixed price, simply ask for a quote via WhatsApp.

Can I get from Verviers to Cologne Bonn or Düsseldorf?

Certainly. Via the E40 and Aachen, both airports are within easy reach from the east of the province. The price table on this page shows the fixed fare for each airport.

Does the price go up if the E40 or Loncin is gridlocked?

No. The price is fixed in advance for your town and that airport. Traffic jams, tolls or luggage included in your booking make no difference.

I am landing at Liège Airport. Where will my driver be?

At the arrivals exit. Enter your flight number when booking and choose a pickup time roughly 45 minutes after landing for a Schengen flight, or an hour for flights from outside Schengen.

Prefer to call or send a message?

For custom rides, large groups or questions: you’ll talk to the driver directly.
