Calculate your price to Brussels Airport
For intercontinental flights, most scheduled services and the widest choice of destinations, people in Limburg nearly always end up flying from Brussels Airport (Zaventem). That means a fair drive right across Flemish Brabant, often at an hour when the first train is not yet running. Hauling your cases to Hasselt or Genk station, changing trains and hoping everything runs on time is possible, but hardly relaxing.
With GateRide you get in at home, whether that is in Hasselt, Genk, Beringen, Tongeren or a village in Haspengouw. Your driver comes to you and takes you to the airport in one go. The price is fixed in advance for your town: no pickup surcharge, no meter and nothing extra when the E314 or the E40 grinds to a halt.

Along the E314 and E40 to Zaventem
The main route is straightforward: the E314 from Genk past Houthalen, Lummen and Aarschot towards Leuven, then the E40 towards Brussels and the Ring to the airport. From Sint-Truiden and southern Haspengouw, the E40 via Tienen is often the more natural choice, and from Maasmechelen or Maaseik the ride starts with a stretch along the Meuse.
The Lummen interchange and the E40 between Leuven and Zaventem are the well-known bottlenecks. Your driver chooses the route based on the time of day and the traffic, but your fixed price never changes.
Timing: the morning rush into Brussels
Plan to be at Brussels Airport two to three hours before departure, closer to three for a long-haul flight. If you leave on a weekday between the small hours and mid-morning, you share the road with commuters heading into Brussels, so extra margin is no luxury. You choose your own pickup time; if in doubt, leave a little earlier and enjoy a coffee once you are through security.
On your return, your driver waits in the arrivals hall on level 0 by the information desk, holding a GateRide sign. Add your flight number and, if you are delayed, let him know by phone or WhatsApp. With ‘Book return trip’ you can plan the journey home in a few clicks.
Frequently asked questions
Questions about Limburg – Brussels Airport
Brussels Airport or Eindhoven: which is better from Limburg?
From northern Limburg, Eindhoven Airport is often closer, but for long-haul destinations and scheduled flights you will usually fly from Brussels. From the south of the province, Brussels Airport is the obvious choice. The price table shows both fixed prices for your town.
I land late at night: how do I get home without a train?
That is exactly where a ride back to Limburg comes into its own. Your driver waits in the arrivals hall and takes you to your door, even after midnight. Choose a pickup time around 45 minutes after landing for a Schengen flight, or an hour for a flight from outside Schengen.
Can I get a receipt in my company’s name?
Yes. You pay the fixed price in cash to your driver and can ask for a receipt, in your company’s name if you wish. Handy if you fly for work from Genk or Hasselt.
Prefer to call or send a message?
For custom rides, large groups or questions: you’ll talk to the driver directly.
