Calculate your price to Eindhoven Airport
If you live in Lommel, Pelt, Hechtel-Eksel or Peer, it makes sense to look across the border for your holiday flight. For much of northern Limburg, Eindhoven Airport is closer than Brussels, and it offers plenty of sun destinations and city breaks with low-cost airlines. The catch: no train runs to the airport itself, and leaving your car in a Dutch car park for days soon adds up.
With GateRide you simply get in at your front door. Your driver comes to you, loads your luggage and takes you to the departures hall in Eindhoven without any changes. The price is fixed in advance for your town, whether you live in Hasselt, Genk, Bree or Maaseik. No pickup surcharge, no meter and nothing extra if traffic slows down at the border or around Eindhoven.

The route: the N74 across the border, or the E314 and A2
From the centre and north of the province, the N74 is the classic route. Your driver heads through Zonhoven, Houthalen-Helchteren and Hechtel to Pelt, then crosses the border towards Valkenswaard. From there it is only a short stretch to the airport on the western edge of Eindhoven. It is a road full of roundabouts and village centres, so a driver who knows the way really makes a difference.
If you live in Genk, Maasmechelen, Bilzen or elsewhere along the Meuse, the motorway is usually the better choice: the E314 towards the Netherlands and then the A2 north. From Beringen, Sint-Truiden or Tongeren, the best route depends on the time of day and the traffic. Whichever road your driver takes, your price stays the same.
When to leave for a flight from Eindhoven
Eindhoven Airport is easy to find your way around, but in the holiday season check-in and security can get very busy early in the morning. Plan to be at the airport two to three hours before departure. You choose the time your driver arrives at your door, not your flight time, so work back from your departure time and add the travel time.
The border itself rarely causes delays, but the A2 and the Eindhoven ring road can jam during the morning rush. If you are flying in the middle of a weekday, allow a little extra time. For the earliest flights the roads are quiet: your driver passes through sleeping villages while you rest your eyes for a few more minutes.
Coming home: pickup at Eindhoven
If you also book the return, your driver waits for you in the arrivals hall at the main exit. Add your flight number and choose a pickup time about 45 minutes after landing for a Schengen flight, or an hour for a flight from outside Schengen. Waiting time is included in the price at no extra charge.
Your driver does not track your flight automatically. If you are delayed, just let him know by phone or WhatsApp. Once your outward ride is booked, the easiest way to add the return is ‘Book return trip’: your details are already filled in.
